Carmen has over 18 years of experience in sustainable leadership, which is actually the least interesting thing about her! After she received her Masters in Sustainability Leadership at BTH University in Sweden, she returned to Vancouver and joined one of Canada's largest corporations, where she developed and led the sustainability reporting practice and a transformational sustainability strategy that has garnered international recognition for its leading approach. Carmen has collaborated with many international organizations including the United Nations Global Compact, where she contributed to the development and review of UN Sustainable Development Goals.
She lives in the stunning Deep Cove, North Vancouver, on the water where whale pods occasionally visit her back yard. Nothing lights Carmen up more than a run through the rainforest with her dog, playing in the water with her kids, and supporting leaders in carrying the torch to save our planet through their companies.
